We have often heard about our grandmothers encouraging Cow ghee consumption; in fact, Cow ghee has been part of our 'Dadi Maa Ke Nuske' (grandmothers recipe/formula).

It has often been told that people who lived long consumed products that were free from adulteration. Organic Cow Ghee is one of the products known to be consumed for the nutrients it provides and the element that makes it palatable. The FAD Diets discouraged the consumption of Cow ghee. Ghee got a bad name for being the source of saturated fat. Many myths surrounded the consumption of desi ghee, and the consumption of other vegetable oils was encouraged.

1. Keeps Your Skin Hydrated

Cow ghee is very beneficial for dry skin; it can be applied on dry skin for a smooth and supple effect on the skin. It can be used on the whole body before taking a shower and can be washed after. It hydrates the skin and acts as a moisturizer.

2. For Glowing Skin

The presence of Omega-3 & Omega-6 fatty acids makes Cow ghee beneficial for glowing skin. It can be used in a facemask that leaves your skin glowing; ghee mixed with besan is used as a facemask. The facemask is put for 15-20 and rinsed off with water. It will leave the skin shiny.

Cow Ghee is beneficial in reducing wrinkles; its vitamin E content and antioxidant properties help reduce the wrinkles. Ghee if mixed with honey can be used as a face pack to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Ghee helps maintain the elasticity of the skin.

The harsh cold during winter's leaves our lips chapped; Cow ghee has been proven very beneficial for dry lips. One can apply ghee on the lips and leave it overnight; one will see a drastic change in the lips' condition. Repeated use will leave lips supple and with improved skin tone.

Cow ghee has a good source of Vitamin A & E; it can help skin lightening. It can be mixed with herbs like turmeric and saffron to make a face pack. The pack can be applied and left for 15-20 mins and can be washed off with water leaving the skin radiant and moisturized.
