These apricots not treated with sulphor and no sugar added. They have to be dried fully otherwise will get fungus. In a humid climate like in monsoon or near the sea they will soften on their own. You can soften them in hot water steam ( like in a jalli in pot with boiling water). Most people soak them some time in water
